LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. – Courtesy of two-straight podium finishes, Brady Bacon jumped to the top of the NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week standings Sunday night.
Bacon took command of the mini-series points by five over Justin Grant after a third-place finish at Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway. The two-time AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series champion has totaled 215 points so far to Grant’s 210 through three races.
The Broken Arrow, Okla., native has finished eighth, second and third at Gas City I-69 Speedway, Kokomo Speedway and Lawrenceburg, respectively.
Chase Stockon holds down third in Indiana Sprint Week points, two back of Grant and seven adrift of the ISW lead, while C.J. Leary is fourth despite wins on both Saturday and Sunday. Leary has a 17-point deficit to make up to catch Bacon at the head of the class.
Kyle Cummins (192) completes the current top five in Indiana Sprint Week points, followed by Gas City winner Logan Seavey (188), Carson Short (183), Chris Windom (179), Thomas Meseraull (149) and Robert Ballou (148).
Indiana Sprint Week resumes Wednesday night at the Terre Haute Action Track with the annual running of the Don Smith Classic.
