LAS VEGAS – Feld Motor Sports has announced the annual running of the Monster Energy Cup will not take place this year.
The event had been scheduled for Oct. 10 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. According to a statement on the Monster Energy AMA Supercross website, the decision was made as the result of other leagues starting their seasons and the difficulty of securing an appropriate location to host the event in the fall.
In addition, the 2020 Supercross Futures National AMA Championship has also been canceled.
Monster Energy AMA Supercross was one of the first sports to return to competition, with the series hosting seven events in Salt Lake City, Utah, to complete its season. Eli Tomac claimed his first series championship during the seven-race stay in Utah.
