Terry McCarl & Destiny Motorsports End Partnership

KNOXVILLE, Iowa – With Knoxville Raceway making the decision to end its season this week, the partnership between Terry McCarl and Destiny Motorsports has concluded.

“We have had a lot of fun with Rick, Barb, and Destiny Rogers over the years,” McCarl said. “I am glad that they have shared this success with us over the past few years and I wish them nothing but success in the future.”

Destiny Motorsports and Mondak Portables came on board with McCarl in 2015 as an associate sponsor, and the pairing quickly found success together.

They had many wins, and a lot of success, and the relationship grew into a primary sponsorship role for the 2019 and the 2020 season.

The relationship was set through the end of Knoxville Raceway’s 2020 campaign. Now, with the end of the Knoxville weekly season, the pairing will go their separate ways.

“We had a lot of success with Destiny Motorsports dating back to 2015,” McCarl noted. “We won nearly 40 feature events, including two World of Outlaws wins, two 360 Nationals wins, three Ronald Laney King of the 360s wins, a Knoxville Nationals preliminary win and the Jesse Hockett Mr. Sprint Week title, to name a few.”

While the partnership ends with the conclusion of Knoxville’s season, it was another strong season for the McCarl family as a whole, as Carson McCarl won his second consecutive 360 track championship at Knoxville.

Austin McCarl finished second in 410 points at Knoxville piloting the family-owned No. 17a machine, and Terry McCarl ended the year third in Knoxville 410 points.

Now, McCarl returns to the seat of his familiar No. 24 sprint car for the rest of the year.

“This weekend is up in the air for TMAC Motorsports, as we prepare to bring back the No. 24,” McCarl noted. “Unfortunately, the storm that hit Knoxville on Aug. 10 caught my crew off guard and three of our top wings were destroyed.

“However, we will definitely be ready for the World of Outlaws event at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., on Sept. 5-6.”
