STATESVILLE, N.C. – GMS Racing officials announced Thursday that two-time Southern 500 winner Greg Biffle will pilot the No. 24 Chevrolet for the upcoming NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race at Darlington Speedway on Sept. 8.
Biffle has accumulated an impressive resume throughout his NASCAR career. He’s earned championships in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series in addition to 56 victories across all three national divisions.
The 50-year-old has made 82 Truck Series starts, earning 17 victories, 43 top-five and 55 top-10 finishes. He’s also earned 12 pole awards.
He returned to the Truck Series last year for the first time since 2004. Driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, he earned a victory at Texas Motor Speedway in his lone start of the season.
“I’m excited to get back behind the wheel of a Gander Truck,” said Biffle. “GMS Racing produces competitive trucks week in and week out. So needless to say when I got the chance to drive one of their Chevrolet’s, at one of my favorite tracks, I couldn’t turn it down. I’m thankful for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get to Darlington with this GMS Racing team.”
Biffle’s sponsorship and paint scheme for the race at Darlington Raceway will be announced at a later date.
