Trinbago Knight Riders v St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Tarouba
Our XI: Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons, Colin Munro, Evin Lewis, Kieron Pollard, Ben Dunk, Dwayne Bravo, Tim Siefert, Jon Russ Jaggesar, Sohail Tanvir, Kharry Pierre
NOTE: We might not always be able to tip you off about late injury (or other relevant) updates, so do keep an eye out for the toss before making your final picks.
Captain: Sunil Narine
Narine is back after a brief break and, obviously, he is the natural choice to be captain. In the previous game against the Tallawahs, he scored 29 runs from 11 balls and took 1 for 23. Against the bottom-placed Patriots, Narine has a high probability of success.
Vice-captain: Colin Munro
Munro has 198 runs from 148 balls and has been striking at at 133.78 with two 50-plus scores. Starts are crucial for the Knight Riders, and if Narine fails, Munro should take charge. Munro plays spin well and Tarouba's pitches are more suited to strokeplay as compared to Port of Spain.
Hot Picks
Dwayne Bravo: Bravo is always an asset in a fantasy game for his death bowling. With players taking more risks, Bravo can pick up wickets and therefore more points. With the Knight Riders' batting strength, chances of Bravo getting a chance to bat is less, so he's not a good pick to be captain.
Evin Lewis: If the Patriots are to win, then the onus is on Lewis to do it for them. Lewis has 197 runs from seven matches and his starts are key to their success.
Value picks
Jon Russ Jaggesar: Jaggesar has been the standout bowler for the Patriots in the last few games. He has six wickets at an economy of 6.62.
Khary Pierre: Pierre has six wickets from six games at an economy of 6.15 and bowls in the powerplay, giving him a high chance of taking wickets as teams are looking to be aggressive in this phase.
Point to note
It's the table-toppers versus the bottom-placed team. Watch out for the toss before picking the team as the Knight Riders might rest some players. But still, pack your team with Knight Riders and take as few Patriots as you can.
