Denver Broncos star pass-rusher Von Miller suffered an injury to a tendon in his ankle that is expected to need surgery and likely end his 2020 season before it even begins, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. This comes after reports from the NFL Network surfaced that Miller, 31, was undergoing an MRI on his lower leg after going down on Tuesday. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora also relayed that Miller's injury was feared to be season-ending and now it appears that has come to fruition.
Specifically, the injury occurred on the last play of Tuesday's practice, per Schefter, that was being held indoors due to the blizzard hitting the area. The Broncos weren't even in full pads during the session and Miller, in shells, is said to have injured himself in what is being described as "a freak" injury.
