CONCORD, N.C. — DIRTcar OktoberFAST is a unique opportunity for Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified drivers and teams to experience a true speed week as they barnstorm across New York. Six storied DIRTcar tracks set the stage for six nights of action, starting Oct. 6 at Albany-Saratoga (N.Y.) Speedway.
All six DIRTcar OktoberFAST nights pay a full series purse for all divisions including five $7,500-to-win Super DIRTcar Series races, three $4,000-to-win DIRTcar 358 Modified Series features, three DIRTcar Pro Stock Series battles at $1,000-to-win, and five $1000-to-win eDIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series events.
The final night, Oct. 11, at Weedsport (N.Y.) Speedway have increased purses of $10,000-to-win for the Big Blocks and $2,000 for the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds.
The first night kicks off at Albany-Saratoga Speedway will feature 60 laps for the Super DIRTcar Series, 30 laps for the DIRTcar Sportsman and 25 laps for DIRTcar Pro Stock Series.
The second night of the speed week takes place at Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, N.Y.
The famous half-mile track has hosted Super DIRTcar Series races since 1982 when “Jumpin” Jack Johnson took the checkered flag. Joining the big blocks, the DIRTcar 359 Modifieds will race for 40 laps. Also on the card is the Pro Stock series.
Fulton Speedway’s high banks will feature a 60-lap challenge for the big blocks with 358 modifieds and sportsman joining the undercard.
The reworked Can-Am Speedway will host the five night. The big block drivers have yet to see the added banking in turns one and two. The series was schedule to open points-paying season in April, but the COVID 19 pandemic forced its cancelation. The 358 and sportsman modifieds will also be on tap.
Canandaigua’s Land of Legends Raceway takes center stage Saturday night with big blocks and sportsman modifieds.
The grand finale to DIRTcar OktoberFAST takes place Sunday at Weedsport Speedway. The Super DIRTcar Series will race for $10,000 in a 75-lap feature on the one-third mile Central New York staple. The DIRTcar Sportsman will go 35 laps for their $2,000 to win payday and on this night the DIRTcar Pro Stocks make their return to the DIRTcar OktoberFAST trail for another $1,000-to-win battle.
The events will not award series points, but will count toward the Hoosier Racing Tire Weekly Championship for each division.
