Unchanged England bat first in third women's T20I against West Indies

England won the toss and chose to bat first vs West Indies

Heather Knight won the toss and chose to bat first, as England looked to seal the series in the third T20I at Derby, the first women's international to be shown on the BBC for 27 years.

Back then in 1993, England's fans were given something to cheer in another summer of Ashes misery as Jo Chamberlain's allround exploits sealed the World Cup final against New Zealand at Lord's. And while the circumstances are somewhat different this summer, Heather Knight has urged her team to put on a show for their new audience, after two 47-run wins in their opening two games, neither of which quite featured the team at its expansive best.

"We want to finish it off and get the series won, we want to keep learning and putting in a strong performance," Knight said, as she confirmed an unchanged XI, which will feature Tammy Beaumont and Danni Wyatt once again opening the batting.

The match will be played on a fresh surface after the same strip was used for the opening two games, which will have further encouraged Knight to take first use. Stafanie Taylor, West Indies' captain, confirmed she would have done likewise, as she named two changes to the XI from Wednesday's match, with Chedean Nation and Sheneta Grimmond coming into the side in place of Aaliyah Alleyne and Britney Cooper.

"We need our batting to come to the party if we are to chase down 150-plus totals," Taylor said.

England 1 Tammy Beaumont, 2 Danni Wyatt, 3 Nat Sciver, 4 Heather Knight (capt), 5 Amy Jones (wk), 6 Fran Wilson, 7 Katherine Brunt, 8 Sarah Glenn, 9 Sophie Ecclestone, 10 Mady Villiers, 11 Anya Shrubsole.

West Indies 1 Hayley Matthews, 2 Deandra Dottin, 3 Stafanie Taylor (capt), 4 Lee-Ann Kirby, 5 Shemaine Campbelle (wk), 6 Chinelle Henry, 7 Chedean Nation, 8 Sheneta Grimmond, 9 Shakera Selman, 10 Afy Fletcher, 11 Shamilia Connell.
