n his first game with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, K.J Costello put on a record-breaking performance. The Stanford transfer set a new SEC single-game record with 623 yards, while also breaking Dak Prescott’s school record for passing (508 yards).
Perhaps even more impressive, Costello led the Bulldogs to an upset victory over the defending champion LSU Tigers with five touchdown passes in Mike Leach’s debut.
