CONCORD, N.C. – Kyle Larson didn’t win any races this past weekend, but he still improved his average finish in winged sprint car competition and remains atop the National Sprint Car Rankings.
Larson, who has won 30 winged sprint car features, ran second twice at Pennsylvania’s Williams Grove Speedway, but because he continues to drop his worst finishes, has improved his average finish to 1.780.
Larson has run 61 winged sprint car races this season.
World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point leader Brad Sweet ranks second with an average finish of 4.460 in 53 starts.
David Gravel, who won Friday night at Williams Grove, sits third. Logan Schuchart and Aaron Reutzel round out the national top five.
Danny Dietrich and Larson are tied atop the Eastern regional standings with 1,146 points each.

Other regional leaders are Cap Henry (Great Lakes), Bill Balog (Great Plains), Jacob Patton (Mid-America), Jack Sodeman Jr. (OH-PA) and Justin Sanders (Western).
