VALENCIA, Spain – Valentino Rossi has been cleared to compete in this weekend’s MotoGP event at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
Rossi, who tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-October, was cleared to compete last weekend after multiple negative PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests.
However, on Tuesday Rossi received a positive PCR test. As a result, he took two additional PCR tests on Wednesday and Thursday per FIM regulations. Both of those tests came back negative, which in turn have led to Rossi being cleared to compete.
