DAVIDSON, N.C. – Wally Brown Racing has announced that rider Chad Cose will not return to the team on a full-time basis next year in the American Flat Track Singles division.

Cose joined the team for the 2020 season, earning one win and seven top-10 finishes aboard the Wally Brown Racing Suzuki RM 450.

“This year we developed a good foundation to start a flat track program. We were able to do so because of Chad’s dedication, hard work and effort,” said team owner Wally Brown. “Moving forward we want to build on what we’ve learned and improve our Singles program. Chad has a promising future racing flat track. We appreciate all he has done for our team and hope we can continue to work with him at some capacity, though it won’t be as our full-time rider.”

“I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with WBR in 2020. We made a lot of progress as a team while dealing with a year that no one anticipated. I am most proud that I was able to help them earn their first win. While disappointed that I won’t be continuing on as their full-time rider, I am hopeful we can work together again in the future,” said Cose.

Brown said there is a chance that Cose, who also competed in the Production Twins division this season, could return to the team for a few races in the Singles class next year.

“It is our hope that Chad will continue his success in the (Production) Twins program next year and possibly ride a WBR Suzuki for a few races,” said Brown. “We will have to wait until the AFT schedule is released to make any final decisions.

“We are currently searching for a new full-time rider and hope to make an announcement prior to the year’s end.”
