HICKORY, N.C. – Hickory Motor Speedway has set its schedule for next year, with the historic track set to open its 71st season on March 6.
The weekly racing schedule will continue to be headlined by the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Series Late Models. Paramount Auto Group will return as the title sponsor for the Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Models and Paramount KIA will return for the Paramount KIA Big 10 Racing Challenge, which provides 10 races with feature events that provide additional purse money and a championship of its own.
Hickory Motor Speedway will continue promoting events for the Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Super Trucks, 4-Cylinders, and the Renegades during their weekly events, with the return of the Carolina Pro Late Model Series and six new events for the Carolina Pro Crate Modified Series.
The PASS Super Late Models will return to Hickory for an Easter Bunny 150 doubleheader on April 2-3. The CARS Tour will also return next year, with the series visiting the track on March 20 and again on July 31 for the popular Throwback 276.
The Knights of Destruction will return with three events beginning on May 15. The event will feature a school bus race, skid plate race, chain race and more. The second event on July 2-3 will be Monster Truck Madness, with a third event scheduled for Oct. 2.
The newly-formed FASS Big Rig Series will be making an appearance on April 24, with semi-truck racing returning to Hickory Motor Speedway for an encore event on Oct. 23.
The season will also include the running of the Paramount Auto Group Bobby Isaac Memorial race on Saturday, Sept. 4 during Labor Day weekend. The Calico Coatings Fall Brawl will be held on Oct. 16, which features a 200-lap feature for the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Series Late Models and a 100-lap Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Model.
The SunDown Audio Competition will return on Aug. 14, featuring elaborate car stereos from around the United States.
