BROWNSBURG, Ind. – The Brownsburg (Ind.) Industry Gathering Motorsports Celebration on Dec. 11–12, has to be postponed due to COVID-19 concerns from the County Health Department and Local Government.
With the spike in COVID-19 cases in the area, the possibility of the county going to RED status is a real threat. Event organizers have put the health and safety event attendees and vendors above all else and thus chosen to move the event to early 2021.
While a new event date hasn’t yet been determined, it is tentatively planned for early March and will transition it into a 2021 Motorsports Season Kick-Off event.
“We are highly disappointed that we have to postpone our big event,” said Randy Hannagan of Brown and Miller Racing Solutions and one of the event organizers. “However, we will keep working to improve the event and make it a Must-Attend Function in the Spring.”
Desire Burkle of Simpson Race Products, also an organizer of the event, conveyed her gratitude of all the Vendors and Customers who were involved.
“We want to thank everyone so far that was on board with us and put their time and effort in to making this event a success,” said Burkle. “We will move forward and continue to plan for our new springtime launch of #BIG.”
Dubbed the #ThisIsBig celebration, many Brownsburg-based racing industry entities planned to be open to the public and offer shop tours, seminars and special sale events to help kick-start the holiday season in lieu of the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, which was canceled due to the COVID-19.
