Stacked Schedule Set For Port Royal Speedway

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Race cars representing 12 different divisions will tentatively take to Port Royal Speedway 40 times during the upcoming racing season.

The Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars will be featured 30 times with opening day occurring March 7 and concluding with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series two day visit on Oct. 8-9. As is traditional, the final three events of the season for the division will be non-point races, with the final points race occurring on Friday, Sept. 10.

As previously announced, the 54th annual Tuscarora 50 will occur Sept. 9-11 and will once again be sanctioned by the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1. It will pay a record breaking $54,000 to win the Saturday night finale and there will be a rain date of Sept. 12 for the Saturday night finale only. The All Stars will also visit in April for the Annual Keith Kauffman Classic vying for $8,000 along with the two-day Bob Weikert Memorial on Memorial Day weekend May 29-30.

The Weikert finale will pay a record $29,000-to-win this year. There is a May 31 rain date in place for the Saturday finale only.

The unsanctioned 15th annual Living Legends Dream Race will occur on July 31 and pay $10,000-to-win. The speedway will also again host two Pennsylvania Speedweek races on June 30 ($7,000 to win) and the third annual Greg Hodnett Classic on Saturday, July 3 paying $10,027.

All 410 sprint car races will pay a minimum of $4,000 to win and $400 to start, with 11 of those races paying $7000 or more.

The super late models will have 22 races on the schedule with their first visit also being Opening Day and paying $3,000 to win. The largest purse in the history of the speedway for a late model race will be paid out over three days, Aug. 26-28, for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rumble by the River. The winner’s share will be $10,000, $12,000 and $30,000 for each night. New to this season, the Saturday night finale will feature a non qualifier feature as well.

The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series will also return to the Port Royal Speedway in 2021 with a two-day show, May 21-22, paying $10,000 and $15,000 to win respectively. The ULMS Late Model Series will visit the speedway four times, highlighted by the 18th annual Butch Renninger Memorial paying $5,333 as part of the 167th annual Juniata County Fair Opener. Other visits include a $3,000 to win race on March 20 ($3,000) and two $4,000 to win races on March 21 and May 8.

All super late model races will pay a minimum of $3,000 and $300 to start this season!

The Limited Late Models will return for their third consecutive season and they have 13 visits scheduled for 2021. Their first visit will be March 20 and highlights include joining the Lucas Oil series for their opener, a $1,500 race as part of the Renninger race and pair of twin-18’s on June 5.

Their last points race will be Oct. 23. They will also race for $1,500 as part of the Kauffman Classic card with the All Stars.

The PASS/IMCA 305 Sprint Cars will again be a featured division at the speedway with 11 total dates on the schedule. Their first show will be April 3, with their final visit of the year being the 10th annual Keystone RaceSaver Challenge event on Oct. 23. For the second time, the series will be part of the Weikert Memorial weekend during the opener and they will also be on the card for World of Outlaws Nittany Showdown finale.

The USAC Eastern Storm event will return to the Speed Palace after a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19 on June 19th and they will be racing for $6,000. Also on the schedule this year will be two visits for the USAC East Coast Wingless 360 Series on April 10 and Aug. 21.

Continuing with the wingless trend, the Wingless Super Sportsman will make four visits. They will debut May 21 as part of World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series visit and then return May 30 as part of the Weikert Memorial finale. Other visits include July 17 and Sept. 6 for the 70th annual Labor Day Classic.

The 4-cylinders will again have two dates at the speedway, with their traditional Labor Day classic visit to go along with being apart of the Oct. 23 finale. The URC 360 Sprint Cars will visit the track twice with a $2,000-to-win stop on April 24 and another $2000-to-win feature as part of the Speedweek visit on June 30.

The Short Track Super Series will make their first of four visits on March 21 with a $5,000-to-win race and they will again take part in the Speed Showcase 200 for three days Oct. 14-16. The Saturday night finale will again pay $50,000 with the 602 Crate Modifieds joining the series for the final two nights and paying $2,500 for the finale.

The Speedway will be closed May 15, June 26, July 24 and Aug. 14.
