Toss: India opt to bowl vs Australia

India's captain Virat Kohli won the toss at the SCG and inserted Australia again on a chilly evening. Chasing a 3-0 sweep, India were unchanged, while Australia welcomed back their white-ball captain Aaron Finch, who had missed Monday's match with a glute strain.

The Australia captain said that he would have liked to bowl first as well and that they would now be eyeing a total in the range of 190. With Finch set to return to the top alongside Matthew Wade, D'Arcy Short may slide down to No. 6. The hosts, however, will be without big-hitting allrounder Marcus Stoinis, who had "pulled up sore", according to Finch.

As for India, they gave Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami an extended break ahead of the Test series. Manish Pandey, who had been sidelined from the second T20I with an elbow niggle, missed this game as well, with Shreyas Iyer keeping his place in the XI.

Australia: 1 Aaron Finch (capt), 2 Matthew Wade (wk), 3 Steven Smith, 4 Glenn Maxwell, 5 Moises Henriques, 6 D'Arcy Short, 7 Sean Abbott, 8 Daniel Sams, 9 Mitchell Swepson, 10 Adam Zampa, 11 Andrew Tye

India: 1 Shikhar Dhawan, 2 KL Rahul (wk), 3 Virat Kohli (capt), 4 Sanju Samson, 5 Shreyas Iyer, 6 Hardik Pandya, 7 Shardul Thakur, 8 Washington Sundar, 9 Deepak Chahar, 10 T Natarajan, 11 Yuzvendra Chahal
