Dec 10: Jaffna Stallions vs Colombo Kings, Hambantota
Pro Tip: Expect some underperforming players, like Shoaib Malik and Isuru Udana, to do well, since both the teams have qualified already and can play without any pressure.
Our XI: Dinesh Chandimal, Avishka Fernando, Laurie Evans, Shoaib Malik, Thisara Perera, Wanindu Hasaranga, Andre Russell, Isuru Udana, Qais Ahmed, Usman Shinwari, Duanne Olivier
Substitutes: Minod Bhanuka, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, D Bell-Drummond, Dushmantha Chameera
Player availability: Dhananjaya de Silva might not be available after picking up an injury. We might not always be able to tip you off about late injury (or other relevant) updates, so please finalise your team after the toss.
Captain: Wanindu Hasaranga
The young allrounder has been in excellent form; he is the highest wicket-taker with ten strikes in six games, at an average of 10.50 and an economy of 5, and has also scored 87 runs in the four innings he has batted in at a strike rate of 197.72.
Vice-captain: Dinesh Chandimal
Chandimal is the third leading scorer of the tournament with 218 runs in five innings, and has the best batting average - 72.66. In the earlier fixture against the Stallions, he had steered his team home with a composed 51-ball 68* in the chase.
Hot Picks
Thisara Perera: Perera has shown his quality with a couple of breath-taking innings - a 44-ball 97* and a 28-ball 68. He had a quiet couple of games after that but we are backing him to bounce back in this one. He has also picked up five wickets so far.
Andre Russell: Russell was at his best only in the five-over rain curtailed game where he scored a magnificent 19-ball 65*. He has not been able to replicate that form in other games but has made up with the ball for that. He has picked up five wickets striking once every 10.8 deliveries.
Qais Ahmad: The legspinner has been quite a revelation in this tournament, and is the second-highest wicket-taker with eight wickets in six games. He has also bowled the most economical spell of the tournament - 4-0-8-2 - and has a three-wicket haul to his name as well.
Differential Picks
Shoaib Malik: Malik, 38, proved during the last PSL that he still has some cricket left in him by top-scoring for his team Peshawar Zalmi. However, he hasn't made an impact yet in the LPL, scoring only 68 runs.
Isuru Udana: Udana has picked up just four wickets in six games and has made a few handy contributions with the bat coming down the order.
Alternate Scenarios
Daniel Bell-Drummond can replace Laurie Evans.
If Dushmantha Chameera plays, he can replace Isuru Udana.
