TKS Hires Juhl For Midwestern Sprint Car Assault

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa – TKS Motorsports owners Troy and Tammy Renfro have announced that Tea, S.D., veteran Matt Juhl will drive the team’s No. 2ks sprint car next year.

The team will compete weekly at Knoxville Raceway as well as at other big shows in the Midwest, including Huset’s Speedway and Jackson Motorplex.

As uncertain as this past season was for everyone and with the limited number of races they were able to run, the team took their time in selecting a driver for 2021.

“We sat down with each of our partners and decided that Matt was the right fit for our team,” said Troy Renfro. “With him being the co-owner of Octane Ink, his availability fits perfectly with the schedule we are looking to run.”

“I am really looking forward to the 2021 season with Troy and Tammy Renfro,” added Juhl. “They have built a great team over the last few years and I am excited to be a part of it and represent their sponsors.”

Juhl is no stranger to the famous Knoxville Raceway, racing at the half-mile track weekly over the last several years.

“I believe this will be a huge opportunity for myself and the team,” Juhl noted. “Troy brings a lot of knowledge that I feel can help me develop as a driver.”

The pair is excited about the upcoming season and is hopeful to have a shot at competing for a track championship.

“As we enter the 2021 season, I am confident we will be successful as a team,” noted Renfro.

“Troy and myself are very competitive, but we want to have fun while doing so,” Juhl said.
