MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Live Fast Motorsports has announced that Keen Parts, under the CorvetteParts.net umbrella, will sponsor the No. 78 Ford Mustang in multiple NASCAR Cup Series races next year.
CorvetteParts.net will make its first appearance on the car at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, April 10. Additional races will be announced at a later date.
The partnership is a continuation of a longtime relationship between Live Fast team co-owner B.J. McLeod and Keen Parts’ Tom and T.J. Keen. The Corvette parts supplier has been a proud partner of McLeod’s team in the Xfinity Series, BJ McLeod Motorsports, since their debut season in 2016.
“It is very special to us to have them on our car because of the relationship we have had with them over the last four years,” said McLeod, who will drive the No. 78 Ford Mustang. “It’s just really cool to have them on board, and it’s truly special to have them be our first sponsor announced on the Cup Series team formed by Matt Tifft and myself.
“I’ve always said relationships are everything, and they are a big part of our team, and will provide a lot of help in getting the Cup Series team started.”
The 2021 season will mark 10 years of the Keens being active in NASCAR as a sponsor. During the last five seasons, their company served as a primary partner at Go Fas Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series.
“CorvetteParts.net has been with B.J. McLeod and BJ McLeod Motorsports for quite some time, and it’s a very big deal for us to continue our relationship with B.J. through Live Fast Motorsports,” said T.J. Keen. “This partnership keeps everything in the family by moving with him from the Xfinity Series into the Cup Series.
“We were a part of Go Fas Racing as a partner, and it was important for our company to continue supporting the Cup Series and show our belief in NASCAR through this relationship. We’re proud to continue working with B.J. and to help both he and Matt Tifft grow into their new roles.”
McLeod considers Tom and T.J. Keen family and appreciates how they go above and beyond for their partners. The at-track experience is a big part of Keen Parts being a NASCAR sponsor, and T.J. is always there to lend a helping hand.
“She’s not a sponsor that comes and hangs out, which is great for those who do, but she actually goes and gets ice for the cooler and cooldown unit, pushes the car through tech,” said McLeod. “She’s always hands-on and likes to be around the garage and see things going on. It’s really difficult for them not to be able to come to the track right now because of COVID-19 restrictions, so it means a lot to us that they are still willing to support our new endeavor and help us get off the ground and get going.
“They’ve been a part of our family for the last five years, and they’re going to be a part of our family for the foreseeable future. It says a lot of their character to stick with the program and start with us as a new Cup team even with the hard times everyone is facing right now.”
