TULSA, Okla. – Dunlap Performance has introduced Whitz RC Racing Products and Parts Authority Auto Parts Super Stores as the primary sponsors of the team’s two-car effort at the 35th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire.
The team, fielded by DIRTVision Director of Broadcasting Brian Dunlap and his father Mike, will once again supply entries for Arizona’s Casey Shuman and Washington’s Gary Taylor at the Jan. 11-16 event held in Tulsa, Okla.
“Some of the first racing I ever did was RC racing with my father,” said Brian Dunlap. “That community and sport has always been close to my heart. I am honored to have it all come full circle and be able to represent Whitz and their exciting new product line.”
Shuman, a five-time main event starter at the Chili Bowl, will don a flashy No. 32w with Whitz RC Racing Products down the side of his Bullet/Mopar entry.
Fans will see Shuman’s ride on track during Wednesday’s preliminary program and then have a chance to get an up-close look at the No. 32w on display at the Whitz RC Racing Products vendor booth later in the week.
“Whitz Racing Products is proud to be the only company participating in both the 2021 R/C Chili Bowl Nationals and the 2021 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals,” said Whitz officials in a company statement. “We believe there is no better way to spend a week in the dead of winter than racing R/C dirt oval cars during the days and full-size dirt midgets in the evenings.”
Taylor, a three-time Chili Bowl feature starter in his own right, will sport a bright and bold look on his No. 32 Bullet/Toyota ride with Parts Authority Auto Parts Super Stores on display.
Taylor will qualify as part of Monday’s opening preliminary program for his shot to lock in to Saturday’s finale.
Both entries will again be supported by Radius Lead Management Software for Insurance Agents as an associate sponsor.
