MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho – Officials from the King of the Wing Series have announced three tripleheader weekend race dates for the upcoming season.
The series is set to open during the July 4 weekend with three races. The first race will take place at Intermountain Speedway in Cheyanne, Wyo., on July 2 followed by a doubleheader at Colorado National Speedway on July 3-4.
The series will then travel to Kentucky Motor Speedway in Whitesville, Ky., to race alongside the Auto Value Super Sprints. Both series will then head to Veterans Motorplex at the Rim in Greenbrier, Tenn., on Aug. 6 before invading Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tenn., on Aug. 7.
The season will conclude with a tripleheader weekend on the West coast alongside the Gunslinger Sprint Cars. The first of those events will take place on Nov. 12 at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu, Ariz. Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway’s half-mile oval is next on Nov. 13, followed by the season finale at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, Calif., on Nov. 14.
Series officials are also working to add one more weekend of racing to the schedule, with details to be announced at a later date.
