ODESSA, Mo. – Tommie Estes Jr. has joined I-70 Motorsports Park as the venue’s dirt track manager, effective immediately.

The Odessa, Mo., track is set to open with a two-day World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint Car League event on April 30-May 1.

Estes, a former sprint car driver, has extensive knowledge of operating dirt track events through his roles as Competition Director for the American Sprint Car Series (1999-2011), and operator at Dodge City Raceway Park (2011-2020), before now joining I-70 Motorsports Park’s management team.

Having raced, produced, and promoted thousands of events throughout his tenure in the racing industry, Estes will help bring the revamped motorsports facility on the east side of Kansas City’s metro area back to its glory days.

“Impressive is the best word to describe what the new owners of I-70 Motorsports Park have built. In a little less than five months, dirt track fans in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa will get to see the best teams in sprint car racing take to the new track and put on an exciting show. I’m just glad to be a part of putting it all together,” said Estes Jr. “We will continue to add events to the schedule as the season goes and know that the participants and fans will be thrilled every time they come to the track.”
