FONDA, N.Y. — The Montgomery County Agricultural Society voted to extend the Fonda Speedway promotional agreement with BD Motorsports Media LLC through the 2023 season.
The original promotional three-year agreement was set to expire in October. The current BD Motorsports Media management team will remain in place through October 2023.
Since taking over the facility, the promoters have overseen numerous upgrades including all new concession equipment, a new sound system, a pit-area leveling and a complete resurfacing of the track with fresh clay. The total two-year investment is more than $150,000.
Track attendance was limited in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
“We are hoping for relaxed New York State COVID restrictions this season, so we are able to regain the momentum and positive direction we built in 2019,” BD Motorsports Media’s Brett Deyo said.
The season is schedule to start on April 17 with weekly divisions including modifieds, 602 sportsman, limited sportsman, pro stocks and four cylinder cruisers.
