SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. — Tyler Peterson claimed victory in round four of the Wild West Shootout for the Mesilla Valley Transport and Border Tire Modifieds Friday night at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway.
Tyler Wolff led the first 13 laps of the 25-lap event from the pole, holding off Logan Drake and Tyler Peterson. But on lap 14, Peterson rode the high line around Wolff and into the lead.
In his attempt to regain the lead, Wolff hit the wall and suffered a flat right-rear tire. He limped to the finish in 15th.
Meanwhile, Peterson cruised to claim his second Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout victory, collecting $1,000.
Calvin Iverson inherited the runner-up position after Wolff had his troubles and finished 0.531 seconds behind Peterson. Bumper Jones, Clint Johnson and Shane Sabraski completed the top five.
Lance Schill topped the X-Mod feature.
