Bangladesh chose to bat vs West Indies
Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque opted to bat in the first Test against West Indies in Chattogram as the visitors handed debuts to allrounders Shayne Moseley, Kyle Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner.
After a 3-0 cruise in the ODI series, Bangladesh are once again favourites despite having not played a Test in 12 months. They went with three spinners (Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan and Taijul Islam) and one seamer (Mustafizur Rahman), while Shakib Al Hasan also returned after recovering from his groin injury.
West Indies, too, are buoyed by the inclusion of Shannon Gabriel and Kemar Roach but given the slow nature of the pitch, they also included two spinners in Rahkeem Cornwall and Jomel Warrican.
