Deputy Carlos Gonzalez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the first responder at the scene of Tiger Woods’ accident Tuesday, tells TODAY’s Craig Melvin: “I did consider pulling him out myself but I decided to wait for the fire department since they have the specialized tools and training.” He says “I don’t think he was aware of how gravely he was injured.” He adds: “We didn’t see any evidence of impairment.”
