West Indies bowl, and hand debut to Anderson Phillip

West Indies chose to bowl vs Sri Lanka

West Indies decided to put Sri Lanka in to bat in the third and final ODI in North Sound. Having secured the series already with two wins out of two, the home side has now turned its attention to capturing more World Super League points, and has gone largely with the same playing XI, making just the one change - 24-year-old right-arm seamer Anderson Phillip coming in, on debut, for Romario Shepherd. Anderson was the fourth highest wicket-taker, playing for Trinidad & Tobago, in West Indies' recently concluded regional 50-over tournament.

Sri Lanka, meanwhile, have made three changes, with seamers Suranga Lakmal and Asitha Fernando coming in as like-for-like replacements for Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Pradeep, while seam-bowling allrounder Dasun Shanaka makes his first appearance of the tour replacing Oshada Fernando.

The visitors will be hoping to put in a more complete performance than in the previous game, where they impressed in spurts and almost stole it at the death, but were largely let down by their lack of penetration with the ball and indiscipline with the bat.

The track is expected to once again be favourable for the batsmen as the game wears on, with West Indies captain Kieron Pollard stating that as the main reason behind his decision to chase.

West Indies: 1 Evin Lewis, 2 Shai Hope (wk), 3 Jason Mohammed, 4 Darren Bravo, 5 Nicholas Pooran, 6 Kieron Pollard (capt), 7 Jason Holder, 8 Fabian Allen, 9 Anderson Phillip, 10 Alzarri Joseph, 11 Akeal Hossein

Sri Lanka: 1 Dimuth Karunaratne (capt), 2 Danushka Gunathilaka, 3 Pathum Nissanka, 4 Dinesh Chandimal (wk), 5 Dasun Shanaka, 6 Ashen Bandara, 7 Thisara Perera, 8 Wanindu Hasaranga, 9 Suranga Lakmal, 10 Lakshan Sandakan, 11 Asitha Fernando
