MESQUITE, Texas – The Hill’s Racing Team No. 77x will have a fill-in driver this weekend for Alex Hill, who is unable to tackle a pair of Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour shows because of a school commitment.
Veteran Tim Kaeding will drive for the team on Friday and Saturday at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. Thursday’s scheduled event at Thursday at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, was rained out.
“I’ll miss racing this weekend, but I’m happy that Tim Kaeding will be driving my car at I-30 and earning owner points for us,” Hill said.
Misfortune plagued Hill’s opening weekend of the season with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour last Friday and Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
“Our weekend didn’t go too well,” she said. “I was learning to drive a new car and we had some other matters that kept us from having a better weekend.
“Our new car didn’t fit quite right for me. It’s not the same getting fitted for a new car in the shop compared to when you’re racing it, but we made some adjustments and got it better.”
Hill’s next race will be April 2-3 at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., with the ASCS Sooner Region and ASCS Warrior Region.
