BROWNSBURG, Ind. – The Rudeen Racing midget team has shifted gears for the upcoming season, moving forward with Washington’s Chance Crum as the new driver of the No. 26.

The operation has relocated to Brownsburg, Ind., ahead of its new start with Crum behind the wheel.

“We are very excited to welcome Chance Crum to our team for the 2021 season,” said team owner Kevin Rudeen. “Chance has done a remarkable job in a variety of cars the last few years and we are excited to have him in our car for the season ahead. I do want to thank Tristin Thomas and his family for what they did in helping our team develop in 2020, and we wish them nothing but the best moving forward.”

With Crum personally relocating to Indiana and his ties to the Pacific Northwest, the choice seemed like a natural fit.

In what will be the team’s second season of competition, the plan is for Crum to pilot a Toyota-powered Spike Chassis in various USAC National Midget Series events, as well as select POWRi national and regional shows throughout the year.

The 2021 campaign will lead back up to the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals in January.

“I am super excited, and thankful, for this awesome opportunity Kevin Rudeen is giving me to drive for him and become a part of Rudeen Racing,” Crum said. “I have been a fan of the team and the famed No. 26 since I was a little kid growing up in the Northwest, and to now to drive for them is really special. Driving Midgets on a National level has been a dream of mine, and for it to come together like this is a pretty amazing. I am really looking forward to hitting the track very soon.”

With details still being finalized for the remainder of the Rudeen Racing midget team, as well the ongoing move, Crum and company are still finalizing a specific schedule.
