BROWNSBURG, Ind. – Daryn Pittman, the 2013 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series champion, will drive in a limited schedule of events this year in the Swindell SpeedLab No. 39.
Swindell SpeedLab, owned by Kevin and Jo Swindell, revealed the news via a Twitter post Thursday afternoon.

“We know we’ve been slow to release our plans, however, we thought this news was worth the wait,” the tweet read. “For our 2021 season, we have tabbed World of Outlaws champion Daryn Pittman as the driver of the No. 39.”
Pittman announced on Sept. 10 of last year that he was retiring from full-time sprint car racing at the conclusion of the World of Outlaws season in order to focus on a business opportunity.
However, that business venture later fell through and Pittman found himself seeking a ride in late January.
Pittman has enjoyed a wildly successful career racing sprint cars, earning 86 World of Outlaws victories in addition to his 2013 championship while driving for Kasey Kahne Racing with Mike Curb.
Last season Pittman split his time between Roth Motorsports and Heffner Racing Enterprises. He started the season with Roth Motorsports, winning once, before ending his season with the Heffner program.
The team plans to make its season debut at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on May 7, with additional races to be announced at a later date.
