The EFL will move next Saturday's 15:00 BST games "as a mark of respect" to avoid clashing with the funeral of Prince Philip.

The Duke of Edinburgh died at the age of 99 on Friday and his funeral will be held at St George's Chapel, Windsor, at 15:00 BST on Saturday, 17 April.

A national minute's silence will be held at 15:00 BST.

Premiership Rugby says it is also moving matches scheduled between 15:00 and 16:00 BST.

Newcastle against Bristol (14:00 BST) and Harlequins' game with Worcester (15:00 BST) will be affected.

In the Premier League, Wolves are due to host Sheffield United at 15:00 BST.

The EFL said it "will now work with its clubs to determine at what time the matches will be played".

A total of 32 games across the Championship, League One and League Two were scheduled to kick-off at 15:00 BST next Saturday.

Premiership Rugby said it has "started discussing the logistical details with our clubs and broadcasters and will make an announcement as soon as possible".

In Scotland, there are six Scottish Cup fourth-round matches scheduled around the time of the funeral, including Rangers against Celtic at 16:00 BST.

The Scottish Football Association says it is has "entered dialogue with the relevant stakeholders" regarding those fixtures.

In horse racing, the Scottish Grand National is due to start at 15:35 BST at Ayr Racecourse.

In cricket, County Championship matches are scheduled to be played on Saturday, while Ireland-France (14:15 BST) is due to take place in the Women's Six Nations.

The FA Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Manchester City is at 17:30 BST.

According to UK government guidance: "The decision as to whether sporting fixtures continue to go ahead is at the discretion of organisers. Organisers may wish to consider using black armbands and observing a silence before matches are played."
