USMTS Louisiana Double Stopped By Rain

SHREVEPORT, La. — With an expected forecast in Louisiana that includes plenty of rain, officials from the USMTS and the hosting race tracks have postponed this weekend’s doubleheader for roughly five months.

Originally scheduled for April 23-24, the ninth annual Cajun Clash at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian and the USMTS debut at The Rev in Monroe will now happen Sept. 10-11.

However, this cloud has a silver lining as two additional tracks have jumped in to make it a four-night sequence at four tracks in three states.

On Wednesday, Sept. 8, the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s will kick off the quadrupleheader at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., and on Thursday, Sept. 9, the series will trek to RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas, before hitting the pair of makeup races in Louisiana.

The next event on the USMTS schedule happens May 14-15, at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., and Tri State Speedway in Pocola, Okla.
