PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Asphalt late model star Stephen Nasse has parted ways with Jett Motorsports, effective immediately.

Nasse made the announcement on his Twitter account Thursday afternoon. In his announcement Nasse said he plans to field his own car under the Stephen Nasse Racing banner moving forward.

Nasse joined Jett Motorsports in 2018 and during his time with the team was regarded as one of the top asphalt late model drivers in the United States.

During his time with the team, Nasse picked up marquee victories in the Mobile 300 at Alabama’s Mobile Int’l Speedway, the Short Track Nationals at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and the Winchester 400 at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway. He also claimed the 2018 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing super late model title at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway.

Nasse also crossed the line first during the 2019 running of the Snowball Derby at Florida’s Five Flags Speedway, but was disqualified in post-race technical inspection when it was discovered the braking system in his car utilized titanium piston caps.

On April 11 Nasse earned a victory in a co-sanctioned CARS Super Late Model Tour and Southern Super Series event at South Carolina’s Greenville-Pickens Speedway. He also claimed a pro late model and super late model victory during the 2021 edition of the World Series.
