Sources: West Ham want $10-$15M for Chicharito

West Ham United striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez wants to play for a club that has confidence in him next season, with sources telling ESPN FC that the Hammers are willing to let the Mexican leave for between $10 and $15 million.

Hernandez -- whose contract with West Ham runs through summer 2020 -- has long been linked with an eventual move to MLS, but La Liga is the 31-year-old's top priority. While Italian and Premier League clubs are also monitoring the player's situation, according to the sources, although the 31-year-old isn't ruling out extending his stay at West Ham.

"I know that the coming years are really important and I need a club that trusts in me," said Hernandez in an interview on YouTube. "If it is West Ham, I'll stay here and it'd be welcome."

Hernandez has recently launched a video blog entitled "Naked Humans" to let people get an inside look into his life, although he defended himself from criticism that his current lifestyle isn't in line with that of a professional player.

"I always make decisions on when to [film] based on the football schedule, based on what I do within 24 hours to arrive to train in top conditions," he said, adding later in the same interview: "I love to vlog because I want to show who I am, I want people to really know the good and bad and I want them to see that Javier Hernandez and 'Chicharito' are the same. Being a human shouldn't be defined by your money or your fame or your success."

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United player stressed that his primary motivation at this stage of his career isn't financial and that he is as passionate about the game as ever.

Mexico's all-time top goal-scorer was left out of El Tri's squad for the Gold Cup after a mutual agreement with head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino. Hernandez recently became a father for the first time.

Hernandez netted seven goals in the Premier League last season, although he only started 14 games.
