England batter James Vince has re-signed with Sydney Sixers for the upcoming BBL season as he hopes to continue his extraordinary title-winning win run.
Vince was a key part of Sixers' back-to-back titles in the last two editions of the BBL, starring in last season's finals series scoring 98 not out and 95 to help guide the side to the title over Perth Scorchers.
He continued that form into the PSL and the English summer culminating in a return to England's ODI side where he scored a maiden century against Pakistan, before captaining Southern Brave to the inaugural Hundred title.
Vince had no hesitation in returning to the Sixers for a rare chance at a hat-trick of titles.
"I don't play for the personal accolades or awards, I play to be part of a winning team," Vince said. "What the Sixers have built on and off the field over the last few years is something really special and something I am proud to be part of. They are just a great bunch of lads and it's everyone - players, coaches, support staff, the supporters.
"Shippy [head coach Greg Shipperd] creates an environment that we can all thrive in and we are all motivated to do our job for the team and our members and fans.
"To experience that final last season at the SCG, in what was our first trip back there all year, was something I'll never forget.
Vince joins fellow Englishman Tom Curran and West Indian Carlos Brathwaite as the third overseas signing for Sixers. They are one of the few BBL clubs to have already secured three overseas players with a number of other franchises struggling to secure more than one, with Australia's strict quarantine rules and the length of the BBL proving a stumbling block.
Sydney Sixers squad: Moises Henriques (capt), Sean Abbott, Carlos Brathwaite (West Indies), Daniel Christian, Tom Curran (England), Ben Dwarshuis, Jack Edwards, Mickey Edwards, Daniel Hughes, Stephen O'Keefe, Hayden Kerr, Nathan Lyon, Ben Manenti, Josh Philippe, Lloyd Pope, Jordan Silk, James Vince.
