India’s Sathiyan Gnanasekaran’s success continues, and he is now ranked 38th in the ITTF Table Tennis World Ranking after winning the Men’s Singles title at ITTF Czech International Open last week.

The 28-year-old Indian has been on red-hot form of late as he dominated the final with a convincing 4-0 win over Ukraine’s Yevhen Pryshchepa. It was also Gnanasekaran’s second win in two weeks following his Mixed Doubles victory with compatriot Manika Batra at WTT Contender Budapest.

Like Gnanasekaran, Monaco’s Yang Xiaoxin also continued her winning ways as she notched her second victory in the Czech Republic to reach her career’s best position of 33rd position. Yang had won the ITTF World Tour Czech Open in 2016 and claimed her first WTT series trophy in Budapest earlier this month.

Sweden’s Truls Moregard, who won the Men’s Singles title at WTT Contender Budapest a fortnight ago, also jumped a spot to 77th place, which is also his career’s best position in the world rankings to date.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Mariia Tailakova moved back inside the top 100 to 95th position from her previous 103rd spot after finishing second behind Yang at ITTF Czech International Open.

China’s Fan Zhendong continues to lead the Senior Men’s Singles world ranking whilst Chen Meng tops the order for the Senior Women’s Singles.
