Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star center Jarrett Allen plans to go through pregame warm-ups with the intention of playing against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday but will make a final decision at game time, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Allen has not played since breaking his left middle finger March 6 against the Toronto Raptors.
Following Allen's injury, the Cavaliers went 7-11 to fall from sixth in the Eastern Conference to eighth and the play-in tournament, where they lost 115-108 to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday in their first of two chances to advance to the playoffs.
The winner of the Friday game between the Cavaliers and Hawks will face the top-seeded Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs starting Sunday.
Allen earned his first All-Star nod this year and averaged 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds during the regular season.
