Over the years the actual proceedings that triggered the series of events which ignited Ping Pong Diplomacy have become somewhat embellished, distorted.
The favourite story is that Glenn Cowan after practising with China’s Liang Geliang inadvertently jumped on the Chinese bus; the practice partner was in fact England’s Trevor Taylor.
