Chengdu Preview Chinese Taipei Brings Experience and Youth to the World Stage

The experienced womens team includes the dynamic pairing of Chen Szu-Yu and Huang Yi-Hua, currently ranked world number. 16 in womens doubles. They return to Chengdu having claimed bronze at last years ITTF World Team Championships, and will be joined by a number emerging talents in the mens team who are determined to improve on their performance at the ITTF World Team Championships, where they were halted in the group stage.

CHEN Szu-Yu (World No.55)
Chen Szu-Yu has established herself as one of the major forces in Chinese Taipeis womens team. Her standout moment was reaching the round of 16 at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Chen was part of the Chinese Taipei womens team to take bronze at the 2022 and 2016 ITTF World Team Championships in Chengdu and Malaysia respectively.
LI Yu-Jhun (World No.63)
At 26, Li Yu-Jhun is a strong doubles player with outstanding results in the past year, winning the womens doubles at WTT Contender Amman and reaching the finals of a number of WTT Star Contender and WTT Feeder events in the womens doubles. Li was also part of the Chinese Taipei womens team to win bronze at the 2022 ITTF World Team Championships in Chengdu.
HUANG Yi-Hua (World No.71)
In her distinguished career, Huang Yi-Hua achieved a remarkable ITTF rank of 17 as of March 2011 and will leverage her extensive experience to benefit the entire team. She clinched the womens doubles title at WTT Feeder Düsseldorf 2023 and the silver medal in the womens singles at WTT Feeder Düsseldorf II 2023.
CHEN Ying-Chen (World No.227)
23-year-old Chen Ying-Chen is set to make her debut in the Chinese Taipei senior national team at the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup but has displayed her process in winning the Junior Girls Team title at the 2017 Hungarian Junior and Cadet Open.
YEH Chih-Wei (World No.244)
Left-handed Yeh Chih-Wei showcased his skills, reaching the round of at WTT Feeder Havirov and round of 32 at WTT Feeder Antalya in the mens singles.
LIN Yen-Chun (World No.254)
At 20, Lin Yen-Chun is one of Chinese Taipeis up and coming players achieving considerable success in the WTT Youth Contender series, including securing gold in the mens singles at WTT Youth Contender Amman 2022 and reaching finals at several other WTT Youth Contender events.
YANG Chia-An (World No.327)
The youngest player in the team, 18-year-old Yang Chia-An returns to Chengdu having recently clinched a silver medal in FISU World University Games in the mens teams and a bronze medal in mens singles, showcasing a promising career in table tennis.
WANG Chen-You (World No.372)
19-year-old Wang Chen-You, like teammate Chia-An recently won silver in FISU World University Games in the mens teams and has achieved strong results in mens doubles in the WTT Youth Star Contender series, including reaching the finals at WTT Youth Star Contender Podgorica.
