POWRi TV Launching With WAR Sprint Season Opener

ELDON, Mo. — The POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League will take the green flag Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway in an event that will mark the racing debut of the POWRi TV streaming platform.

Officially launched in March ahead of the originally scheduled kickoff to the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League season, POWRi TV will carry every lap of Saturday’s three-division, open-wheel-only program at the third-mile dirt oval.

The ASCS Warrior and Sooner Region winged 360 sprint cars, as well as the RaceSaver 305 sprint cars, are also on the card.

POWRi TV is a streaming affiliate of the SPEED SPORT Network.

Headlining the night is the season-opening race for the non-winged WAR sprint cars, which hit the track after a season in which Riley Kreisel picked up his second-straight series title.

Kreisel’s crown last year came by a scant 11 points over runner-up Kory Schudy. The Warsaw, Mo., native posted three wins, nine top-five finishes and 13 top 10s in 18 feature starts to secure the championship.

Schudy, a two-time winner in 2019 from Springfield, Mo., led home Wesley Smith, Illinois traveler Korey Weyant and Slater Helt among the rest of the top-five-point finishers from the 2019 standings.

Saturday’s race will be run in front of limited spectators. There are 1,500 tickets available for the event, and orders can be placed at www.market.myracepass.com.

Those who can’t attend at the track can watch the action via a POWRi TV single event pass for $29.99.
