Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar returned to France on Saturday after three months in Brazil, sources have told ESPN.

The Brazil international took a flight from Rio de Janeiro Galeao International Airport on Friday afternoon and landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris early on Saturday morning with his close entourage.

Neymar left the French capital on March 15 with the agreement of the club as the lockdown was implemented. He stayed with his son and some friends in his luxurious villa in Mangaratiba, in the state of Rio.

The former Barcelona forward respected the recommendations given by PSG which were to come back to Paris before June 15 to avoid a potential quarantine. The players will return to training on June 22.

PSG were declared Ligue 1 champions in April after the Professional Football League (LFP) announced the 2019-20 Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 seasons had ended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sources have told ESPN that Neymar has worked hard during the break and followed all the work instructions given by PSG coach Thomas Tuchel and his staff. The German manager is said to be happy with Neymar's fitness work.

Neymar will now have a week to wait until he can finally play football again with his teammates.
