DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Much like Kevin Harvick in the NASCAR Cup Series, Chase Briscoe’s Sunday win at Dover Int’l Speedway has propelled him to the NASCAR Xfinity Series pole at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
With the race win and fastest race lap in hand, Briscoe – who currently ranks second in Xfinity Series points – landed the top spot on the grid for Friday’s WaWa 250 at the 2.5-mile, high-banked superspeedway thanks to NASCAR’s performance-based metrics.
He’ll be joined on the front row by Ross Chastain, the defending summer Daytona race winner who is seeking his first victory of the Xfinity Series season.
Austin Cindric and Noah Gragson will share the second row of the grid, with Justin Allgaier filling out the top five.
Starting sixth through 10th will be Brandon Jones, Daniel Hemric, Michael Annett, Justin Haley and Riley Herbst.
