DARLINGTON, S.C. — Joe Graf Jr. and his SS GreenLight Racing team will honor 13-time NASCAR Xfinity Series winner Elliott Sadler with a throwback paint scheme on its No. 8 Bucked Up Chevrolet during Saturday’s Xfinity Series Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway.
As part of Darlington’s popular throwback weekend, Graf’s car will replicate Sadler’s No 88 Jr. Motorsports GT Vodka Chevrolet from the 2010 Xfinity Series season. It is one of three throwback paint schemes honoring Sadler during this weekend’s events at Darlington.
“I’ve always had respect for Elliott Sadler as a race car driver and to be able to flashback to his time at JR Motorsports is really cool for me,” said Graf. “Hopefully, we can have another successful race at Darlington with a better finish than May.”
It will be Graf’s second Xfinity Series start at the historic 1.33-mile egg-shaped oval. He finished 19th in May. Sadler started 15 Xfinity Series starts at Darlington, winning the 2016 event for JR Motorsports.
