CORNWALL, Ontario – Steve Bernard won his second feature of the weekend with during Sunday’s Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals at Cornwall Motor Speedway.

Dalton Slack took the lead over Martin Pelletier in the 125-lap feature, with Corey Wheeler moving to third. Both Slack and Pelletier were running side-by-side for the lead as they hit lap traffic by lap 12.

Slack pulled away as Wheeler passed Pelletier for second on lap 15. Bernard found something on the outside and moved to second as Slack kept a good lead over field with 25 laps in the books.

The first caution came on lap 58. On the lap 68 restart, Bernard took the lead from Slack as Lindberg moved to third. Slack was back in the lead on lap 77, but had no where to go as he got into some cars in the frontstretch and yellow flag waved.

When the race resumed Lindberg moved to the lead as Wheeler passed Bernard for second. Bernard got back by Wheeler for second moments later and set his sights on Lindberg.

Lindberg and Bernard made contact while racing for the lead, with Bernard taking the top spot as Wheeler battled Lindberg for second. Bernard went on to win the feature, with Lindberg and Wheeler chasing him to the checkers.

In other action, Cody McPherson won the 100-lap TAS Racing Sportsman feature. Yannick Poirier was a winner in Lightning Sprint competition, while James Clarke won for the sixth time this year in the mini stock main event. Finally, Josh Powers won the Vintage feature.
