SUGAR HILL, Ga. – RSS Racing officials have announced the team will campaign Ford Mustangs in the NASCAR Xfinity Series beginning this year.
Ryan Sieg will drive the No. 39 Ford Mustang for the full 33-race schedule with sponsorship from CMR Construction and Roofing. The team will be powered by Roush Yates engines.
The switch to Ford comes after more than 10 years with Chevrolet.
“I would like to thank Chevrolet and ECR for a great run, but it was time for something new,” said Sieg. “We are a small family owned race team so to have this opportunity to align ourselves with Roush Yates and Ford it is truly incredible.”
Sieg is coming off the best year of his career, which saw him earn seven top-five finishes, including a career-best runner-up finish at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway last October. He finished the year ranked 10th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series standings.
RSS Racing becomes the third confirmed full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series team that will campaign Fords. Stewart-Haas Racing and Team Penske will campaign Ford Mustangs for Riley Herbst and defending series champion Austin Cindric, respectively, this season.
