MOORESBURG, Tenn. – Scott Bloomquist has ended his run with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series and will instead focus on major events for the remainder of the season.

“Several different things have recently transpired contributing to this decision,” said Cody Sommer, president of Scott Bloomquist Racing. “We have been confident and competitive as of lately, and we want to make sure that we can be as fast as possible each time we unload. This will allow us to do that.”

Bloomquist has raced full-time with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series since 2020 after inking an agreement with Drydene to help sponsor his race team.

At the time, Drydene was going to serve as the primary sponsor of a second car driven by Chris Madden while also supporting Bloomquist’s traditional No. 0.

However, things didn’t go as planned and Madden departed the team midway through last season. The team downsized to one car, with Bloomquist earning just one victory en route to an eighth-place championship finish.

So far this year season the 57-year-old dirt late model veteran has one top-five in 11 World of Outlaws events and sits 10th in the series standings.
