Jhulan Goswami up to second spot among ODI bowlers, Mithali Raj slips from the top

Jhulan Goswami has moved up by two places to occupy the second spot among bowlers in the ICC ODI rankings on the back of her impressive performance in the third game against Australia. However, India ODI captain Mithali Raj has lost her No. 1 spot to South Africa's Lizelle Lee, with Australia's Alyssa Healy climbing to the second place in the batting list.

Goswami, who was the Player of the Match in the final game of the series, which India won - though they went down 2-1 - picked up four wickets at an average of 28.75. This included the 3 for 37 that helped India complete a record chase to end Australia's 26-match winning streak. The veteran pacer also entered the top ten among allrounders to be placed tenth.

While India opener Smriti Mandhana went up one place to No. 6 after scores of 16, 86 and 22, Raj - who reclaimed the top spot in July - moved down by two places after accumulating just 87 runs in three innings.

There was good news for the pair of Healy and Beth Mooney, who broke into the top ten for batters, and allrounder Ashleigh Gardner. Mooney gained eight places to reach the eighth spot after scoring 177 runs in two innings, including an unbeaten 125 and 55. Healy, who had scores of 77 and 35, moved up a slot to be second.

Gardner climbed to sixth from tenth in the allrounders' table. However, Ellyse Perry's disappointing series - she went wicketless and conceded 103 in three games - pushed her down by two positions in the allrounders' list, with South Africa's Marizanne Kapp replacing her at the top.

Meanwhile, the England bowlers to have gained following the 4-1 series win against New Zealand were Anya Shrubsole and Kate Cross. While Shrubsole gained four places to be ninth, courtesy three wickets in the final two ODIs, Cross moved up five places to be tenth after scalping three for 44 in the fifth and final ODI.
